Position Summary:
As an Associate Scientist performing analytical testing within Cell Therapy Analytical Development, this energetic, collaborative, and self-motivated individual will be responsible for supporting early and late-stage viral vector process development. The ideal candidate will have experience following standard operating procedures across a variety of analytical techniques, including molecular, ELISA, and functional cell-based assays. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gain proficiency in multiple methods and execute routine testing in support of multiple early and late-stage development programs
- Analyze and interpret data to ensure accurate and reliable results in an electronic lab notebook (ELN)
- Maintain accurate detailed, and timely laboratory records, including experimental procedures, results, and data analysis as well as act as a reviewer of ELN data entries
- Present results to an audience of peers and program stakeholders as needed
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to support ongoing projects and initiatives, such as troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to assay performance and instrumentation
- Contribute to laboratory operations including reagent preparation, consumables restocking, and general cleanup/lab duties
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus on life sciences
- 2+ years of industry experience including hands-on experience in a laboratory setting, with a focus on cell-based titer methods, molecular methods, ELISAs, and flow cytometry is preferred.
- Experience with ELN systems and proficiency in data analysis software and tools related to the testing performed is preferred
- Motivation and drive to acquire new skills and knowledge with excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Willingness to work in an industrial environment collaboratively, independently, and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent verbal, written, and oral communication skills
The starting compensation for this job is a range from $82,000 - $102,000,
plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility). The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and the geographic location where work is performed.
