Job Summary
Prepares sales forecasts and collects and analyzes data to evaluate current sales goals. Researches and evaluates current economic conditions that may affect the organization's ability to sell its products or services in the marketplace. Assists in the development of sales quotas, pricing, profitability, operations strategy and forecasts for the full sales team. Responsible for analyzing sales data, develping business insights, preparing customer proposals, forcastings trends, and implementing tools and processes to optimize sales peformance and drive growth.Strong cross-functional collaboration, exceptional analytical skills, and passion for driving strategic initiatives and business improvements.Recommends changes to current sales techniques, procedures or promotional efforts based on market research and new trends. Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the internal financial support resource for Sales Managers.
- Analyze account profitability, margin mix, and sales pipeline forecasts.
- Build and maintain templates for sales reps to track performance and customer engagement.
- Develop pricing models, prepare competitive bids, and estimate profitability for customer proposals.
- Use CRM systems to organize customer data, track project progress, and analyze purchasing behavior.
- Create and maintain dashboards and visual reports using Power BI and Excel.
- Prepare and monitor annual budgets and align sales forecasts with customer buying trends.
- Develop reports and insights to drive decision-making and operational improvements.
- Identify high-probability prospects and tie them to revenue goals and budgets.
- Attend and contribute to monthly sales and cross-functional meetings.
- Ensure accurate raw ingredient forecasting by analyzing historical purchasing data.
- Drive continuous process improvement in sales operations and reporting tools.
- Provide tactical guidance to ensure departmental performance objectives are met.
- Maintain a high degree of financial acumen and awareness of market conditions.
- Collaborate with Sales Professionals to build customer proposals, forecast account growth, and track profitability.
- Work closely with Finance team on monthly closings, budget planning, and margin analysis.
- Partner with Raw Material Sourcing, Inventory, & Purchasing to forecast customer demand and align with procurement strategies.
- Coordinate with Operations Team to design data models and track strategic goals.
- Engage with Marketing & Customer Service to ensure cohesive messaging and seamless customer experiences.
- Support Sales & Marketing for data organization, pipeline tracking, and system enhancements.

Required Skills
·Strong experience with ERP systems, CRM software, and financial reporting tools.
·Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables), Power BI, and PowerPoint.
·Proficient in using tools such as Microsoft Teams, QuickBooks, Acctivate, and project tracking platforms.
·Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
·Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal.
·Demonstrated ability to build relationships across departments and drive collaborative results.
·Proven experience in working with tight customer deadlines, bid timelines, and margin negotiations.
