Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated dairy cattle nutrition consultant to join our team. The Nutrition Consultant will be responsible for providing expert advice on proper nutrition and formulating animal diets for farm clients. We work with most classes of agricultural livestock, but primarily with dairy farms. Renaissance offers opportunities for nutrition consulting and related product sales direct to farm. We currently have 100 trained nutritionists working with producers in 30 states. A key strength of this company is being flexible in adapting to real world situations. We are always watching for talent and always growing.
Duties
Our livestock nutritionists work independently in a geographical area.
They have options for consulting work and/or related product sales. Each person builds business that fits the local region.
We do forage sampling, ration balancing, and related consulting directly with dairy producers.
Renaissance provides excellent training and ongoing support from our regional managers and our highly experienced in-house nutrition specialists.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Animal Science, Agricultural Business, or a related field
- Must have experience and understanding of dairy farming and related crop production.
- Self starter with a strong work ethic and ability to organize work
- Outgoing personality and excellent communication skills
- Reasonable computer skills. Must be able to work with email, word processing software such as MS Word, and a computer ration formulation program. We will train.
