Location Details:
At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.
This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.
This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.
GoDaddy is not currently considering candidates for this role in California, Seattle, or NYC.

We are seeking a Senior Technology Risk Manager to join GoDaddy’s Certificate Authority (CA) organization — a rapidly evolving team responsible for operating one of the world’s largest CAs. Our mission is to ensure that GoDaddy’s CA maintains world-class security, compliance, and trustworthiness while enabling the business to deliver reliable, automated certificate services at massive scale.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, risk management, and PKI compliance, and who enjoys partnering with engineering, compliance, and security teams to solve complex challenges. You’ll help safeguard GoDaddy’s reputation as a trusted root CA while enabling innovation across SSL/TLS, automation, and new product lines like Verified Mark Certificates (VMC) and a Private CA.
What you'll get to do...
- Assist in providing guidance on PKI/SSL compliance to business partners and team members which includes reporting compliance posture to management on a periodic basis.
- Assist in providing guidance on CA compliance requirements and support execution of IT Internal Control activities including data monitoring, access reviews, and CA ceremonies.
- Support in the development and execution of GoDaddy’s CA compliance program which includes monitoring sub CA compliance, assisting with policy changes, collaborating with the sub CA, and working with development teams on automated testing requirements.
- Follow CA/B forum changes with an eye to changes and browser sentiment related to CA and sub CA relationships.
- Complete along-side and across different compliance areas to complete the following
- Plan and lead projects to document processes, identify risks and evaluate control design:
- Collaborate with partners to design appropriate remediation strategies
- Organize and coordinate external audit projects within scope, timeline and budgets
Your experience should include…
- 5+ years of professional experience with CA WebTrust compliance, risk management, PKI and SSL certificate business
- 3+ years of professional experience in web PKI, PKI engineering or PKI/SSL policy
- Ability to work well with a team and on individual projects as assigned
- Experience working with Agile methodologies
