Sanitation Maintenance Technician
REPORTS TO (title): Aramark Sanitation Manager/GM
DEPARTMENT: Sanitation
POSITION SUMMARY: Describe the general purpose of the job or why the job exists.
The Maintenance Technician will be expected to disassemble and assemble equipment on the manufacturing lines and train and supervise this process to sanitation employees.
? Performing / supervising / training, the Line disassembly assembly process on manufacturing lines and equipment.
? Assist / Run special projects.
? Assist in running the Aramark OPX Sanitation Program.
? Demonstrate and explain the Aramark OPX Sanitation Program.
? Perform sanitation tasks when needed.
? Assist in performing intensified inspections, document findings and identify improvements to be made.
? Perform proper post cleaning inspection of production lines.
? Perform ATP operations.
? Perform weekly and or monthly supply inventory and become familiar with the budget.
? Assist in operation of the MSS system, and any other duties assigned by Aramark management.
? Completed all annual Safety training, ALL SSOP training including confined space required tasks, and ALL other job-related training.
? Overhead projects and lift operation.
? Train other employees for line assembly disassembly.
? Lead teams on project work.

? 2-5 years’ experience in an industrial maintenance or automotive mechanic role, preferably within the food industry.
? Able to communicate and work with the client maintenance and QA department.
? Mechanically inclined.
? Directing others.
? Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and perform maintenance on various equipment.
? Ability to work at heights and within confined spaces.
? Knowledge and understanding in the use of conveyors, PLCs, welding processes and equipment, drill press, packaging machinery, trailers, scales, grinders, hand and power tools, impact guns, bench grinders, and band saws.
? Positive attitude and ability to solve problems and multi-task.
? Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
? Good knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
? Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively and stand on feet for majority of the working day.
? Flexibility and willingness to work overtime as required and willingness to work varied shifts which may include evenings and weekends.
? Execute preventative maintenance (MSS) program as per schedule on all equipment, and machinery.
? Conduct diagnostic checks, troubleshooting, and repair for all equipment, plant wide (mechanical, electrica).
? Report all health and safety risks to Sanitation Manager.
? Install, align, take apart and move industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, generators according to layout plans using Lifts, hand, and power tools.
? Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery as required.
? Operate hand tools and power tools as required and authorized.
? Perform general building maintenance.
? Work in a safe manner in accordance with all company policies and procedures as well as occupational health and safety laws.
? Other responsibilities as required by the Sanitation Manager.
? Demonstrate technical aptitude and knowledge directing a team within a food processing sanitation operation.
? Understands the industry trends, needs, and challenges.
? Utilize industry knowledge and insight to run a smooth and effective operation.
? Able to accept evaluation and feedback from Aramark management.
? Display a good working attitude and professional behavior when facing the client and other employees.
? Able to navigate Microsoft Office programs.
? Able to assist in running the Aramark OPX Sanitation Program.
? Able to demonstrate and explain the Aramark OPX Sanitation Program.
? Able to operate MSS system and Aramark systems.
? Able to perform tasks in a timely manner.
? Must be able to pass background check.
? Must be able to pass a drug screen.
? Must have reliable transportation.
? Must be able to work well with other people.
? Reports to work on time and/or ready to report at change of shift 100% of the time.
? Plans for special days off in advance and give notice to manager per department guidelines.
? Requests vacation time in advance per department employee handbook.
? Provides adequate notice to management due to absence; calls one (1) hour prior to beginning of day shift and two (2) hours prior to second or third shift, 100% if the time.
? Maintains proper attendance requirement per Department Policy.
? Exhibits timely, satisfying completion of all job assignments with minimal assistance as evidenced by no overtime unless requested and approved by manager/director.
? Exercises initiative, seeking additional tasks from supervisor or other staff members when time permits.
? Accepts assignments with no unwarranted documented complaints of unfair workload.
? Demonstrate ability to identify and resolve interpersonal conflicts constructively when dealing with members of the organization as documented by direct observations.
? Displays patience and tact when dealing with other client personnel.
? Presents department in a positive manner to visitors, client employees and other contractor personnel.
? Maintains confidential client and departmental information 100% of the time.
? Utilizes appropriate department chain of command in resolving complaints, grievances, or problems with no incidents of inappropriate utilization.

? Follows written goals and objectives and reviews annually with manager.

? Handles chemicals and solutions per departmental training guidelines.
? Ensures that all chemicals and solutions are in properly labeled containers at all times with no documented incidents noted.
? Adheres to safety regulations as outlined in departmental training, (e.g., wet floor signs).
? Always follows Site color code, GMP, and allergen policies.
? Washes equipment and structure with correct equipment as outlined in training guidelines.
? Use chemicals and solutions per department policy.
? Keeps work area neat and orderly, including equipment.
? Must be able to train ALL employees in SSOP’s and other tasks and skills as directed by management.
? Must be able to lead teams on project work.
QUALIFICATIONS: Describe experience, education and related course work typically required or expected to perform essential job functions.
Ideal candidates possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. Previous experience within a food processing operation environment. A minimum of two to five years’ experience. The following physical demands are a requirement for the position.
? Lifting Requirement – Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
? Constant physical demands including reaching, seeing, bending, walking, hearing, and standing.
