SUMMARY
TheAccountsPayableSpecialistisresponsibleforensuringinvoicesforassignedaccountsaresubmittedtimely, accurately, completely and in accordance with established billing processes or procedures.
ESSENTIALDUTIES&RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Processapproximately150invoicesdaily,keepingdataentryerrorswithintheguidelinesof theCompany’sefficiencystandards.
- Auditinvoicesfortheappropriatesalestaxratesandcalculationissues;posttoaGeneralLedger.
- Resolveissueswithinvoicesunabletobekeyed-identifyissuesandsend themtopurchasingfor resolution.
- Prioritizeworksothatdiscountsaremaximized.
- Providetimelyresolutionofissueswhencalledbyvendor.Resolutionincludesinterfacingwith Purchasing Agent and vendor until issue is resolved.
- Reconciliationofmonthlyvendorstatements.
- Checksarerunandprocessedthreetimesamonth.Thisentailscomparingchecktoimagingsystem and accounting system for accuracy.
- Performgeneralclericaldutiesincludingcopying,faxing,mailing,andfiling.
- Responsibleforthecompletionoftheworkflowprocessalongwithmaintainingvendor relations.
- Thedutiesandresponsibilitiesareintendedtodescribethegeneralnatureandscopeofworkbeing performed by this position.This is not acomplete listing and other duties will beassigned basedon the position's role within the business unit.

WORKINGCONDITIONS:
- Generalworkenvironment–sittingforextended periods, standing,walking,typing,carrying,pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
