Our internship program is a full-time, paid, 10-week program during the Summer of 2025. Applicants should be based in the Chicago area for the duration of the program to participate in our hybrid work environment at our Chicago headquarters. Applicants should also currently be pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher with a graduation date in Winter 2025 or Spring 2026.
What to expect during your internship:
- Onboarding Training: Our onboarding program will share all the information you need to be successful during your internship at Strata. You will learn about our mission, our history, our products & services, and our people!
- Meaningful Work: You’ll receive a challenging project to complete during your internship. The project will give you a running start into the exciting world of software that is positively impacting some of our nation’s most critical industries. We hope this work inspires you to expand into a full-time career. Before summer is over, you will present your work to our Executive Leadership Team!
- Networking: You will have many opportunities to network across all areas of the business. Whether it’s through one-on-one coffee chats or lunch & learns, you will meet many of the people who fuel our mission!
- Culture: Throughout the summer, we host a variety of social and volunteering activities to help you truly experience our amazing culture and working in downtown Chicago.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Work with the Marketing team to analyze campaign and content performance across digital channels – including web, email, paid advertising and events.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design and build engaging email campaigns, using industry leading software and leveraging/creating best practices.
- Assist with data management initiatives – working with large data sets and consumer relationship management software to ensure data quality across customer and prospect records.
- Support the creation and maintenance of webpages through our content management platform, Drupal.
- Take an active role in researching and evaluating web content, looking for key performance indicators in terms of Search Engine Optimization, on-page engagement, and conversion attribution.
- Research trends, identify emerging opportunities, and help benchmark key performance indicators in the changing digital marketing landscape.
What we’re looking for:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher with graduation date in Winter 2025 or Spring 2026 in Marketing, Mar-Comm, Journalism, PR, Business, or another related field
- Excellent writing and communication skills, looking for experience tackling corporate voice and tone
- Eagerness to learn and iterate while taking constructive feedback from many stakeholders and teams
- Positivity and curiosity – be ready to problem solve alongside the team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, some Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred (but not necessary!)
- Strong self-motivation and the ability to work effectively with limited guidance when necessary
