Cyth Systems is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer in mixed signal design, integration, and test. The candidate will work in a team consisting of Mechanical, Electrical and Software Engineers involved in the development and design of Biotech, Factory Automation, Automated Test, Embedded Controls, Machine Vision, Renewable Energy, RF Technologies and Robotic Systems.
Skills & Experience
This position requires skill and experience in the following areas:
- Willingness to work across multiple disciplines (hardware, software, and mechanical)
- Familiarity with communications standards and protocols, including RS-232, RS-485, SPI, I2C, USB and TCP/IP
- Familiarity with sensors (pressure & temperature) and data acquisition systems.
- Familiarity with National Instruments LabVIEW
- Strong attention to detail, resourceful, self-reliant, self-motivated and confident
- Comfortable in a dynamic working environment with a high amount of change
- Coordinate and provide technical support and assistance to other departments including manufacturing, purchasing, marketing, and quality, as well as customers and suppliers.
Job Duties & Assignments
- Analog, digital and mixed signal schematic and layout design including creating & reading schematic diagrams, bills-of-material, assembly drawings, and other design documents using Altium Designer
- Surface-mount (BGA, QFN, and gull-wing) and through-hole soldering for rework and prototyping purposes
- Operate electronic test and measurement equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters, logic analyzers, waveform generators, spectrum analyzers, and device programmers, in-circuit emulators, and debuggers
- Board bring-up, testing and troubleshooting printed circuit boards, subsystems, and systems
- Research, development, and maintenance of printed circuit board (PCB) designs including schematic, bill of materials, Gerber files, fabrication drawings, and PCBA test specs
- Panel wiring, including wire routing, labeling, applicable standards, documentation etc.
Requirements
This position requires:
· Bachelor's degree in STEM-related field or equivalent experience.
· 1+ years of engineering related experience.
· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
· Ability to work in-office full-time in San Diego, CA.
· Must be able to lift 20-50 pound objects 5-10 times per day.
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Salary: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
