Hybrid Schedule: Helen of Troy associates enjoy the advantages and flexibility of a hybrid working model, allowing for in office 3 days minimum, and remote 2 days. Any changes to this working model would be communicated accordingly.
What you will be doing:
We are seeking an experienced EDI Architect to lead our EDI initiatives and drive the EDI Transformation and modernization efforts. This critical role will involve overseeing our EDI backlog, spearheading EDI integration within the ERP and ensuring compliance with global standards like GDPR.
The EDI Architect plays a crucial role in our organization wide transformation projects. This strategic initiative aims to modernize our applications and transform our data interchange landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of EDI analysts and developers.
- EDI Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive EDI strategy aligned with the transformation projects and overall business objectives.
- EDI Integration: Design, develop, and implement EDI integrations with trading partners, including 3PLs and international systems.
- EDI Modernization: Lead migration from legacy EDI platforms to the modern, minimizing disruptions and ensuring seamless data flow.
- EDI Backlog Management: Prioritize and manage the EDI backlog, ensuring timely delivery and resolution of issues.
- Data Security and Compliance: Ensure compliance with data security standards, including GDPR, and maintain data integrity.
- Process Optimization: Identify the opportunities to streamline EDI implementation processes and improve efficiency.
- Reporting and analytics: Prepare and provide effective executive summary on EDI Roadmaps, deliverables and value propositions.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve EDI issues, including mapping, validation, and transmission problems.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in related profession/field.
- 10+ years’ experience in EDI.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong understanding of EDI standards (EDIFACT, X12) and protocols (AS2, FTP).
- Experience with one or many EDI software (Gentran, Cleo, SPS Commerce, B2B Integrator).
- Proficiency in mapping tools (e.g., Stylus Studio, Altova MapForce).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) and data formats (XML, JSON).
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and operations.
- Adaptability to changing business requirements and technological advancements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with EDI integrations in Oracle ERP environments.
- Knowledge of global trade compliance regulations.
- Certifications in EDI or related technologies.
