Job Title & Role Description:
The Training & Development (T&D) Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive training programs for our staff at Upward Health. This includes a wide range of training formats, such as instructor-led, web-based, and virtual classroom settings. The specialist will work closely with leadership and subject matter experts to ensure that all roles are well-trained, supported, and compliant with regulations. The T&D Specialist will play a key role in improving staff effectiveness and ensuring that training programs align with the organization's goals and regulatory requirements.
Skills Required:
- Experience in designing and developing training content and programs.
- Skilled in delivering training across various platforms, including in-person, web-based, and remote.
- Knowledge of adult learning methodologies to develop effective and engaging training programs.
- Strong understanding of clinical operations, healthcare regulations, and patient care best practices preferred.
- Knowledge of chronic care management, population health, and value-based care preferred.
- Willingness to travel (10% of total working time) to Upward Health markets to deliver training as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Previous experience managing a Learning Management Systems (LMS), knowledge of ADP WorkforceNow a plus.
- Experience facilitating clinical systems training, knowledge of Athena and Salesforce a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot and adapt training materials to address evolving needs and feedback.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training projects and deadlines.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, education or a related field required.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in training and development with content development experience required.

- Strong ability to integrate various technological tools, such as LMS and internal systems into the training process.
