The bread you’ve grown to know, and love is a seeking a Plant Manager for our 110,000 square-foot production facility in Schaumburg, IL.
The Plant Manager is responsible for ensuring company safety, quality, and production policies, procedures, and goals are met by the plant. Coordinate efforts of all operations to assure production and distribution of consistent quality products, in the most efficient manner possible, while ensuring compliance with government regulations in the areas of employee safety, food safety, environmental, and employment practices. The Plant Manager is also responsible for the plant’s operation, maintenance, and distribution. Providing the vision, leadership and coaching needed to develop and maintain the competencies, performance, and collaboration of all departmental employees within the plant. As the Plant Manager you must establish and maintain plant policies, procedures, that are consistent with the Company’s mission, values, and goals. Establish and maintain community relations and foster a well-trained and motivated staff.
Must have experience with Automated or Semi- Automated Packaging Systems. Understands the operation and use of high-speed bakery production equipment; Understanding of food production standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's). Background and working knowledge of HAACP, GFSI and or BRC. 7 + years food manufacturing experience as well as Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Packaging and Distribution. Training in Safety, OSHA, RMP, EPA, PSM and SPC are necessary. Strong accounting skills, and experience with Profit and Loss, and Capital Expenditures.
Required Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of progressive management experience in CPG (Consumer Product Goods, or Food/Bakery or related food industry preferred.
- Exposure to multiple Supply Chain and other business disciplines (Purchasing, manufacturing, logistics, R&D, etc.) in previous positions or project work.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing unit operations.
- Exceptional project management skills.
- Exceptional influence management skills with the ability to manage cross-functional resources without direct reporting relationships.
- Excellent communication skills - both formal and informal with the ability to communicate within all levels of the organization.
- Must have highly collaborative leadership style and team management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and inspire others effectively and handle conflict in cross-functional integration role.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- College degree level of knowledge of several subjects in order to perform calculations, analyze data, prepare reports, and deal effectively with people.
