As a Cytotechnologist, you will play a critical role in the early detection and diagnosis of disease by microscopically evaluating cell samples from all body systems using advanced techniques. You’ll deliver accurate, timely results that directly impact patient care and outcomes. In addition to performing high-level cytological evaluations, you’ll participate in specimen preparation, quality control and assurance programs, and provide technical guidance to clinical teams. You’ll also contribute to the training and mentorship of students and new team members, helping to shape the next generation of laboratory professionals.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of Cytotechnology principles and methodologies, including the ability to perform and interpret complex, non-routine tests across all body sites
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field is required
- Must be certified or eligible for certification as a Cytotechnologist (ASCP or equivalent)
