N952 (Intelligence, Analytics & Enterprise Technology) supports Law Enforcement agencies by applying intelligence expertise, advanced analytics, and technical tradecraft. We engineer, prototype, and R&D solutions for sponsor problems, and drive thought leadership to transform and streamline business and IT processes impacting mission operations. Our goal is to enhance investigations, improve situational awareness and promote the safety of intelligence and law enforcement officers in the field.
Roles & Responsibilities:
We are looking for a self-starter who is innovative, strategic, collaborative, and understands IT infrastructure, data systems, and data standards. The work supports DOJ with advanced enterprise technology adoption, IT portfolio management, data governance, and strategic leadership. This position requires an experienced leader who will advise senior executives on strategy, data management, and enterprise policies for effective data sharing.
Job Requirements:
Technical / Domain Competence. A thorough understanding of the DOJ Sponsor’s mission, environment, technical tools, processes, and critical challenges. Translate and apply data and systems technical knowledge to the DOJ Sponsor’s most difficult challenges. Ensure FFRDC-appropriate impactful tasks are defined, and meaningful data-driven products are developed with timeliness and relevance. Strategic Leadership. Define and shape strategic objectives and executive-level management for the DOJ Sponsor. Advise senior executive sponsor on strategic challenges and technical solutions by leveraging data and applying industry best practices. Develop impactful reports and visuals that communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely. Collaboration. Actively collaborate with stakeholders and related MITRE efforts to ensure maximum value, holistic approach, and strategic impact on DOJ Sponsor mission. Interpersonal Skills. Build and grow relationships with our DOJ Sponsors and maintain a significant presence at the Sponsor Site in Washington, DC. Communicate clearly and tactfully with stakeholders to identify challenges, risks, considerations, and potential solutions.
Ideal candidates should have a firm understanding of enterprise IT, data science, data management and governance, and the DOJ domain.
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
- Experience with the DOJ IT systems and data.
- At least 5 years of experience leading a technical project, organization, or business area
- Demonstrated track record of successful collaboration and coordination of multiple contributing organizations.
- Excellent leadership, writing, communication, and networking skills.
- Ability to thrive independently in a dynamic environment.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
- This position requires a minimum of 4 days a week on-site.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical experience in enterprise IT management, data management, strategic planning, and project budgeting
- Graduate degree (MBA, MA/MS, or PhD)
- Strong understanding of federal investigative and intelligence tools, systems, and data
