JOB SUMMARY
The Omaha office of Kutak Rock is seeking an associate to join its public finance department. Experience in public finance, real estate, corporate finance or other transactional areas is preferred, but otherwise interested and qualified candidates (including 2024 graduates) are encouraged to apply.
The position is located in Omaha, but candidates with relevant experience may be considered for remote arrangements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research federal and state law, including the Internal Revenue Code, federal and state securities laws, and local bond law
- Prepare and review transaction documents, including trust indentures, bond ordinances and resolutions, loan agreements, credit enhancement agreements, and closing documents
- Prepare and review underwriting documents, including offering documents, purchase agreements and disclosure certificates
- Interact and communicate with clients and other transaction parties
QUALIFICATIONS
- Law degree (JD) from an ABA accredited law school (2024 graduates will be considered)
- Strong academic record
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Ability and confidence to work independently and flexibly
