Overview
The Development Team Lead/Scrum Master is responsible for coaching, directing, and providing feedback to a team of developers. You will also provide feedback on existing products and contribute to the design of new product features. You and your teams will build intuitive and highly scalable web applications using modern tools and libraries.
Starting base pay for this role is between $140,000 and $175,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, training, location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role will be eligible for a bonus as well as competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits, wellness reimbursement, life insurance, and a 401(k) with company match. We offer vacation and sick leave benefits (under a flexible time off policy in most states).
Responsibilities
- Manages a team of developers.
- Develops software and tools in support of design, infrastructure, and technology platforms, including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, cloud-based and Internet-related tools.
- Provides feedback on existing product and contributes to the design of new product features.
- Builds intuitive and highly scalable web applications using a modern technology stack.
- Builds entire features across all layers (database, services, and Web UI).
- Builds responsive web applications that work across different screen sizes.
- Tests software within the agile methodology.
- Provides ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
- Collaborates cross-functionally with business users, product managers and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions.
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices.
- Identifies and coordinates additional trainings opportunities for team members.
- Responsible for daily performance management of team members.
- Completes team member performance evaluations and manages the performance review and compensation process for team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of programming experience for Team Lead/Scrum Master.
- 5+ years of programming experience for Team Lead and 3+ years managing a team of developers for Senior Team Lead/Scrum Master.
- Technology expertise must include ASP.NET, MVC, SQL Server, C#, HTML/CSS, Javascript, SPA frameworks, REST APIs
- Experience with building mobile applications using Xamarin or React Native is a plus.
- Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies a plus.
- Risk management and insurance expertise is a plus but not required.
- Prior experience with managing client product implementations is a plus.
- Experience with web application security mitigation techniques and the OWASP Top Security vulnerabilities.
